As you are aware, on October 14th, 2025, Arbitrator Fishbein released his final and binding decision.
The Ontario Conference and your Local Unions remind you that the awarded increases are retroactive to May 4, 2025.
Following the release of this decision your Negotiating Committee has been working with representatives of the Ontario Sheet Metal Contractors Association to implement the changes and ensure retroactive pay is processed appropriately. This process remains ongoing.
We anticipate that the first stage will be completed by the end of the month, at which time updated wage schedules will be dispersed.
In the weeks that follow the dispersal of the wage schedules, all members should expect to receive retroactive payment for all work retroactive to May 4, 2025.
